Description
New Romantic Spirit is an artistic encounter between two Dutch artists - the pop art legend Woody van Amen and visual artist/musician Hidde van Shie. Both artists search for images that express a new, contemporary sense of life. Their inquiry demonstrates that material for their art, serves as fuel for their personal visual poetry, and can be found all around the world. Driven by great curiosity and starting from the observation that the old images are no longer adequate, they are both searching for new images or for new combinations of them in response to the ever increasing complexity of our visual reality.
