DANIEL BUREN

Title

DANIEL BUREN

Description

This film is linked in particular to the man in question, the path of his life and, in counterpoint, to his work and writings. In conversation with the art critic Guy Tortosa, we discover all the artist's facets, from his very first "column" paintings, erected in the Cour d'honneur of Palais Royal in Paris, to his exploded huts, closed-in open spaces where one loses the idea of space and time. To support this intention, the filmmaker accompanies the artist to his three major exhibitions of the year 2000 and compares them to his works.
